Best Time to Travel

Unlike Hajj, Umrah has no fixed dates, so you can plan around weather, cost, school holidays and how busy you would like the Haram to be.

Ramadan, and especially the last ten nights, is the most spiritually sought-after time to travel. It is also by far the busiest and most expensive, and space around the Haram is limited. If Ramadan is your plan, book as early as you possibly can.

The months from roughly November to March are generally more comfortable, with far kinder temperatures for walking between the hotel and the mosque. Summer in Makkah and Madinah is genuinely hot, which is worth weighing up if you are travelling with older relatives or young children.
