Small courtesies that make the Haram calmer for everyone.
Prayer areas are separated by gender, and staff will guide you to the right sections. Move calmly in crowds, avoid pushing towards the Black Stone, and be mindful that many people around you are elderly or travelling with children.
Photography is common but be considerate — avoid photographing other worshippers, and put the phone away near the Rawdah and the cemeteries.
Modest dress applies throughout, shops and restaurants pause around prayer times, and a little Arabic goes a long way. Bottled and Zamzam water is freely available, and it is normal to be offered dates and tea by strangers.
Patience is the real skill of Umrah. Agree meeting points, keep the group together at busy times, and look after whoever in your party moves slowest.
