Masjid al-Haram
The Sacred Mosque surrounds the Ka'bah and is the heart of the journey. Within it you will find the Black Stone set into the eastern corner of the Ka'bah, Maqam Ibrahim, the Zamzam water distributed throughout the mosque, Hijr Isma'il — the low semi-circular wall on the north-west side — and the Safa and Marwah gallery.
The mosque has been expanded many times and is described today as the largest mosque in the world. Because building works continue, capacity and layout details do change over time.
