Are flights included in the package price?

No. Flights are excluded from the standard package prices because airline prices can fluctuate. Simple Umrah is not an ATOL holder and does not sell flights directly, but we can arrange them on your behalf through third party ATOL protected travel agents, with the price confirmed based on availability at the time of booking.

What is included in the packages?

Our standard packages include hotel accommodation, breakfast, transport, ziyarah and visa arrangements for eligible UK passport holders.

How close are the hotels to the Haram?

Our hotel selections are generally within approximately 10 minutes' walking distance of the Haram, depending on the specific hotel and route.

How long does Umrah itself take to perform?

The rites of Umrah — tawaf, sa'i and cutting the hair — usually take somewhere between one and a half and four hours in total, depending on how busy the Haram is when you arrive.

How do I visit the Rawdah in Madinah?

Visiting the Rawdah requires a free, timed permit booked through the official Nusuk app, with separate slots for men and women. Slots are released in batches and go quickly, so it is worth checking the app regularly during your stay. We will happily talk you through it before you travel.

When is the best time to travel?

Umrah can be performed all year round. Ramadan is the most spiritually sought-after and by far the busiest and most expensive period, while the cooler months from around November to March are the most comfortable for walking to and from the Haram.

Do I need any vaccinations?

UK health authorities highlight meningitis vaccination for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, and Saudi health requirements are reviewed each year. Please speak to your GP or a travel clinic well before you travel, and we will confirm the current requirements with you at the time of enquiry.

Which ziyarah sites will we visit?

In Makkah, ziyarah commonly includes Jabal al-Nour, Jabal Thawr and Masjid Aisha, and outside Hajj season the plains of Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat. In Madinah it usually includes Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and the Seven Mosques.
